DESTINATION HUMANS

Walking across the world at human speed.
Not the fastest route — the most human one.

A project by Ezio Marchetti

Welcome to
Destination Humans

I'm Ezio Marchetti.

I’m walking across the world at human speed — moving from community to community, stopping wherever there’s a human story worth listening to.

Not to break records, but to meet people and understand the places I pass through.

Core values

Two brown footprints on a black background.

Moving slowly enough for things to happen. Conversations, detours, unexpected moments. Slowness is not a limit, it’s the method.

Human Speed

People come first. This project is not about crossing places, but about meeting those who live in them.

Connection

Icon of a magnifying glass with a brown handle, used for search or zoom functions.

Choosing to understand before judging. Listening openly, without needing quick conclusions.

Curiosity

Gold wax stamp with a round handle and an oval-shaped imprint area.

Being fully there. Experiencing first, documenting after. Paying attention to what’s in front of you.

Presence

When you truly see people and places, indifference fades. And that’s where change begins.

Care

The path a man takes to walk around the world.

The journey

This is a long-term journey on foot around the world, walking and running across continents at human speed.

Around 30–40 km a day, carrying everything I need and moving slowly enough to stop, listen, and connect.

Not the fastest route, but the most human one.

Chapter I - Europe

In June 2026 I will start from North Cape, Norway, and move south on foot.
I’ll cross countries and communities at human speed, following curiosity rather than the fastest route.

Chapter II - Africa

From Europe, the journey is expected to continue into Africa.
The path is not fixed and will follow people and stories along the way.
